Freshman Convocation prepares new students for road ahead

Hundreds of first-year students at Columbus State University -- plus family members, faculty and staff -- gathered Aug. 19, 2007 for CSU's third annual Freshman Convocation, an event that has quickly become a CSU tradition to welcome new students into the college environment. A former Columbus State University staffer, alumnus Mary Hill Johnson, delivered the keynote address, focusing on how students can make the most of their CSU experience. A reception followed.
